jHackGuard is designed by SiteGround to protect Joomla websites from hacking attacks.

After installing jHackGuard in Joomla 1.6, I got this error: call to a member function route() on a non-object in.....

The workaround is to manually delete the extension. Connect to the server and rename the file plugin/system/jhackguard.php to any name you want. After renaming the file, you can now login in the backend of Joomla, then uninstall the extension.
