Mobile Robotics Workshop
April 26 - May 7, 2010. For two weeks im in UP Visayas Tacloban College attending a workshop on Mobile Robotics. I was send as the representative from ICT Unit of Province of Leyte. Since this is for high school students, my classmates are from Philippine Science Eastern Visayas Campus. We are only five in the class w/ our trainor Engr. Noel B. Elizaga.
Workshop in Mobile Robotics is a 40-hour crash course covering introduction to electronics technology and computer programming needed to operate a mobot (line-following mobile robot). PIC (Programmable Interface Controller) 16F877A will be used and C language to manage it.
I remembered my days when i was in MSU-IIT. In my last year there, I with a girl friend of mine made a microcontroller project that won an award from ICCF (Iligan City Computing Fair). That was also selected as the ESET (Electronics Eng'g Technology) Best Project during our School of Computer Studies recognition (2007). The project is titled ATM. Automatic Tubig Machine, a water despenser controller. Tubig as in water (H20). Hehehe. We used 8051 microcontroller from Intel. Coded in C.
